About Home for Now
Compassionate Pet Care During Life’s Challenging Moments
Empowering Lives through Compassionate Pet Fostering
Home for Now was formed to provide temporary, long term pet sitters (think fostering a dog, cat or other pet) for people who are trying to better their lives or achieve a safe life, but cannot keep their pets with them at this time. What can you do to help?
Our Mission:
Home for Now’s mission is to keep people and their pets together through circumstances that would otherwise cause them to be separated and to give people the time they need to deal with uncontrollable circumstances by caring for their pets temporarily.

Facing Tough Choices
Imagine having to make a life changing decision that meant separation from your beloved pets with no one to care for them, keep them safe or loved.
This is the choice some people have to make who are victims of domestic violence, experiencing homelessness, being admitted to the hospital for an extended stay, or undergoing some other upheaval in their lives. As someone who absolutely loves her dogs, I cannot imagine having to make these choices. For example, having to choose between leaving someone who was assaulting me or keeping my dogs with me … or having a surgery that may save my life or keeping my dogs with me. These are impossible choices!
